HISTORY OF ALPHA MU ALPHA

Alpha Mu Alpha is the national marketing honorary of the American Marketing Association. It was established in the spring of 1981 for qualified undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, and marketing faculty. It was formed to recognize and reward academic excellence in the discipline and science of marketing.

Your induction into Alpha Mu Alpha joins you to a select group of outstanding marketing students worldwide. You have earned this honor through diligent study in your chosen field – marketing.

    Alpha – standing for A, reminds you that you are among the first in scholastic achievement in your class.

    Mu – means middle – or continuation, reminding you that you are expected to continue to contribute to the development   of our chosen profession.

    Alpha – stands for the beginning of your career as a professional marketer where your efforts will make a good life better for everyone.
