WELCOME!
Welcome
to the Marketing Department’s web site. As you
explore these pages, you will quickly learn
how we teach, support, and graduate students
who become salespeople, marketing managers,
advertising account managers, entrepreneurs,
and other professionals who take leading roles
in business and the community. Whether you are
an alumnus, potential faculty member,
potential employer, current student or future
student, we hope you will interact with the
learning community of the McCoy College of
Business Administration.
We are proud of our
faculty and
staff who work together to provide solid experiences to students, alumni,
university offices, businesses and other
constituents. Our marketing students graduate
with a portfolio of written projects, skills,
and knowledge that enable them to compete in a
dynamic business environment.
Our alumni are in exciting and prominent
positions all over the state, country and
world. Our instructors are dedicated and
innovative in their classroom activities,
research programs, and service to academic and
professional groups. Our partners in the
business community facilitate learning experiences, provide student
internships and employment, and collaborate on
other win-win projects.
As the following pages reveal, we strive for
excellence, integrity, responsiveness, and
respect through all facets of the departments
operations, contacts, and experiences. We
strive to be recognized as a national model
for effectively balancing the teaching,
research, and service expectations of faculty. There
are tremendous learning, professional, and
partnership opportunities in the Marketing
Department at Texas State
University-San Marcos.
