We are the Texas State University chapter of the Hispanic Business Students Association (HBSA). Welcome to our website. We are so glad that you took the time to stop by. Please continue on, and take a look around.
Our chapter was founded in 1994 by students at Texas State University, located in San Marcos, Texas. Led by our academic advisor Dr. Cecilia Temponi, we encourage education and professionalism in our members. Our goal is to prepare members for their future endeavors and encourage them to become great leaders. Our organization serves as a student chapter of the National Hispanic Business Association (NHBA), our umbrella organization. HBSA welcomes all majors, ethnicities and classifications. Our dedication to promote diversity stems from the NHBA's goal to encourage the advancement of Hispanic college students in the business world.
In order to give back to the San Marcos community, we participate in several projects around the area such as Bobcat Build, Relay-for-Life, Adopt-A-Highway, and have recently started an HBSA chapter at San Marcos High School called Leaders of Today and Tomorrow. Our theme for this year is "Finding Unity Within Our Diversity". You can find out more about HBSA in our about us section.
