October 2007 - Texas State FMA Receives Superior Chapter Award
I am honored to announce that the Texas State University FMA chapter has earned the Superior Chapter Award for the 2006-2007 academic year. This award is given to fewer than five percent of FMA chapters each year.
Our chapter had to meet a number of specific criteria, demonstrate exemplary chapter management, and excel in providing members program activities to receive this designation. Earning this award required a high level of effort and commitment from students and faculty in our chapter.
We will be recognized world wide for this honor on FMA International's website (www.fma.org) and in FMA International's publications. I want to send a special thank you to everyone who contributed to our recognition as a Superior Chapter.
I am also pleased to announce that our very own faculty advisor, Dr. Janet Payne, was one of only five advisors to receive the prestigious designation of Superior Faculty Advisor. We would not be where we are today without all the time and commitment Dr. Payne puts into this organization. Thank you for all your help Dr. Payne!

August 2007 - FMA to Host Alumni Tailgating Event
- Who? FMA alumni, Texas State faculty, current FMA members, students interested in FMA
- When? September 1st, 2007 at 3:00pm
- Where? Meet in the Bobcat Stadium parking lot. Look for the FMA tent (and banner!)
- Why? Hot dogs, hamburgers, and football
