SBDC Student Assistance Program

The SBDC actively uses students from Texas State University to broaden both the depth and scope of services we offer to our clients. Should an SBDC client elect to participate in this student-worker program, they can benefit from a variety of areas of assistance.

  • Semester Internship Program
    • Students work closely with SBDC counselors to provide marketing, management, accounting, and other support to SBDC clients.
  • Studies in Entrepreneurship
    • Students work closely with SBDC counselors to research and write in-depth business plans for SBDC clients. These students write plans for both pre-startup and existing businesses.
  • Accounting Policy
    • Students work closely with SBDC counselors to evaluate and attempt to correct accounting issues for SBDC clients with existing businesses.
  • Business Research Methods
    • Students work closely with SBDC counselors to perform primary marketing research for SBDC clients with existing businesses.

Please contact your SBDC counselor if you are interested in any of the above areas of assistance. Certain restrictions apply.
