| Congratulations to McCoy College Recipients of 2007-2008 Outstanding Mentor/Mentee Awards |
| Dr. Pat Pattison, Chair of the Department of Finance and Economics, and Mr. Dawson Munoz, management major, were recognized Thursday evening, April 17th, at the Mentoring Program Banquet. Dr. Pattison received the 2007-2008 Outstanding Mentor of the Year Award and Mr. Munoz received the 2007-2008 Outstanding Mentee of the Year Award. This was the first year that a mentor/mentee team had received both awards. |
| Dawson, a 23 year old Iraq veteran, is a current member of the National Guard. He transferred to Texas State from South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, where he was recognized with the Thomas Spencer Award, given to the graduate who contributed the most to the school through organizations and events, and was selected by the student body to be Mr. South Plains College. In his first semester at Texas State, he was selected as one of 15 university students to serve as a University Ambassador. |
