| Texas State Student Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car 2008 Intern of the Year |
| Jennifer Salinas, a senior management major at Texas State University – San Marcos, was named the 2008 Intern of the Year for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in South Texas. Salinas was named the award winner at the 11th Annual Summer Intern Appreciation & Awards banquet, hosted Aug. 13, by Enterprise at the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio. She was selected based on exceptional performance in all areas of the company’s Summer Intern program, which focuses on numerous aspects of Enterprise’s Management Training program. During the 12-week program, summer interns receive formalized instruction and hands-on experience in sales, marketing, customer service and business operations. Interns have specific goals and expectations, and earn intern “points” based on performance. |

| Twenty-two interns, representing 13 universities, participated in this year’s summer intern program, and were honored at the annual banquet. The 58 attendees on hand to honor the “Summer Intern Class of 2008”included representatives from many of the interns’ universities as well as members of the Enterprise management team. Representing Texas State University was Director of Career Services, Curt Schafer. |
