Darren B. Casey, president of Darren Casey Interests, Inc. in San Antonio was selected as a Texas State Distinguished Alumnus for 2009 and was one of five individuals honored on Friday, October 30th at a series of special events.

Mr. Casey received his BBA in Business in 1981. During his career he has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal, the National Real Estate Investor and the Urban Land Institute. He has been named an Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year; Texas Business Magazine’s Texas’s Top Land Developer and was inducted into the San Antonio 40 and Under Business Hall of Fame.

During his visit to campus, Mr. Casey spoke to two Accounting 2301 classes in the McCoy College sharing details about his career and providing lessons learned.

Mr. Casey has committed to funding an endowed professorship in the McCoy College and has also made a generous donation to Texas State Athletics.
